Xanthorrhoea sp., Grass Tree with Rainbow Lorikeet

The tiny creamy white flowers on the top section of the spike are full of nectar that attracts bees, ants and honey-eating birds such as the Rainbow Lorikeet. The Rainbow Lorikeet is one of the most colourful parrots in the world and is very much at home in the Sydney region.
